6.  Can hospitals run custom reports?

Yes, WAPC was one of the 13 originally-funded grants by the UW
Partnership Fund in 2005.  The grant funding allows extending
PeriData.Net® to hospitals with 200 or fewer annual births and
conducting data-mining educational sessions for all PeriData.Net®
hospitals.  In November and December, 2006, WAPC and UWM/CUPH
conducted four data-mining educational sessions for hospital staff
about how to use the custom reporting tool in PeriData.Net®
The education was "hands-on" and was attended by 82 participants
from hospitals around the state.  Each hospital has access to about
800 variables collected in PeriData.Net® to create their own reports
by using the Web-based tool that is provided or by exporting their
data into another tool.

At the 2007 WAPC annual conference, three hospitals showcased
quality assurance programs that they had instituted at their
institutions or in their communities to improve perinatal outcomes.
The hospitals used custom reports to access real-time data available
in PeriData.Net®.
